Medicare Part A

  • Hospital Insurance

  • Necessary inpatient hospital care
  • Skilled nursing facility
  • Home health and hospice care

Medicare Part B

  • Medical Insurance
  • Helps pay for Medical Expenses
  • Medically necessary doctors services
  • Outpatient care

  • Some preventive services
  • You pay monthly premium

Medicare Part C

  • “Medicare Advantage”
  • Combines part A, Part B and usually Part D into one plan
  • Offers extra coverage beyond Original Medicare
  • May be offered for no or a low monthly premium
  • You pay Part B monthly premium

Medicare Part D

  • Prescription Drug Coverage
  • Not included with Original Medicare
  • Helps cover to lower cost of prescription drugs
  • Sometimes offered with Part C Medicare Advantage plans
  • You pay monthly premium

Medicare Supplement Plans: Traditional Medicare Supplement Plans are also known as “Medigap”, which is private health insurance that is designed to supplement Original Medicare.  It will help pay for some of the health care costs that Original Medicare does not cover (copayments, coinsurance and deductibles)  These plans are “Standardized” and each insurance company must offer the same basic benefits.  Cost is usually the only difference between these plans.  Request a Free Consultation and the current “Choosing a Medigap Policy” booklet.
